Manchester-based poet, Rebecca Hurst, will talk about Wendy Cope’s poem ‘The Orange’ and about finding joy in the everyday.

Rebecca will discuss her research on the powerful links between creativity and wellbeing. She will also talk about her own poetry writing, and how poetry can be a shared as well as individual practice. This talk will be conversational, engaging, and collaborative.

Rebecca will be joined by Tallula-Rose Quinton, a University of Manchester graduating third year student, who will perform poems that have sprouted from her final creative writing project exploring the body and non-human voices.

This is part of our Bee Curious talks programme. While a limited number of tickets may be available for drop-in visitors on the day, we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
