‘Daily Rituals’: UK-China Photography Exhibition

Exhibition

Audience Suitable for all

Catch a visually rich and thought-provoking exhibition of the very best entrants to the 2024 edition of the hugely popular UK-China International Photography Competition.

Launched by The Manchester China Institute and Creative Manchester in 2019, the contest is now in its sixth year and asks entrants to use their smartphone cameras – and their vivid imaginations – to express their creativity and showcase their talent by capturing an image centred on a chosen theme. This year the theme ‘is ‘Daily Rituals’.

The top 30 finalists and winning photographs have been shortlisted from hundreds of submissions received from China and the UK – and their entries will be displayed along the glass corridor in the Samuel Alexander Building throughout Universally Manchester Festival, for all to see.

This prestigious competition is supported by The University of Manchester’s School of Arts, Languages, and Cultures; Manchester Museum; Yunnan University; and a wide range of partners both in the UK and China.
