Layers Of Blessing: A 3D Paper Art Journey into Chinese Symbols

Drop in and get creative with a crafting activity in the Lee Kai Hung Chinese Culture Gallery, located on the first floor of the Manchester Museum. 

Discover the rich meanings behind traditional Chinese symbols through the creative art of layered paper design. In this hands-on workshop, participants will craft their own 3D paper blessing cards using Chinese characters and paper cuts that represent positive wishes such as health, beauty, peace, and happiness.  You can turn into a card to bless a friend or to keep as a reminder of your own intentions. 

Workshops will take place between 10.30am – 12.30pm and 1pm -2.30pm.
