Spend the day delving into the rich history and heritage of Greater Manchester at our Celebration Day, with festival partner Manchester Histories Festival.

With 50 stalls taking over the historic Manchester Central Library and a whole host of events and activities held at Gilbert Square and University of Manchester Students’ Union, this is an opportunity to step back in time to explore some of the brightest moments and darkest chapters of Manchester’s past and learn how it has shaped the resilient spirit of the city today.

With stalls, craft activities, walks, exhibitions and talks on offer, there’s a whole host of ways for you to learn about local colourful characters and uncover hidden histories with partner organisations from across the north west. There’s even a heritage bus for you to hop on board!

Celebration Day will have you coming away full to the brim with new knowledge about Manchester’s vibrant past and wondering what other secrets our city holds…
