Poetry Showcase: Singing Down the River

Immerse yourself in poetry and conversation as Universally Manchester Festival proudly hosts readings by two esteemed alumnae writers: Rebecca Hurst and Charlotte Whetton.

Hurst, interdisciplinary artist and writer of the University’s bicentenary poem, weaves together writing, opera and illustration; while Whetton, winner of the New North Writing Award 2019, will showcase a craft she’s honed at renowned poetry festivals such as Aldeburgh, Ledbury and StAnza.
