For families with little ones at the Universally Manchester Festival

News

There’s plenty to enjoy across the festival for all ages—including our youngest visitors!

For under-5s and their grown-ups, don’t miss the Whitworth Sensory Play Zone in University Place (running 11am-3.30pm). Enjoy special moments together with calming, hands-on sensory play designed to support your child’s development, bonding, and attachment.

Visit the Baby Feeding Cosy Nook, a peaceful space to rest and feed your baby. While you’re there, you can also chat with members of the midwifery team, who support student midwives in developing their skills in breastfeeding and infant feeding support.

Need a quiet moment?  Visit the Alliance Manchester Business School to get hands-on with crafty fun and games the whole family will love. Join our creative Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team for paper chain making, meet our University Parents, Carers & Guardians Network, or take part in children’s story time and colour in with us at the Confidence Poem activity.

Pop along to Manchester Museum to play, connect and wonder!  The Museum is full of incredible stories and free activities made for families that will help you take a deep dive into some of the most fascinating objects on display.

And what would a fun day be without free face painting – we’re buzzing about our favourite design – the bee of course!
