Geography Labs
What, and how, can we learn about changes to our Earth system in the past? Have great forests expanded and contracted? Which parts of the Earth’s surface have periodically been covered in ice?
And what does all this mean for the way humans have interacted with our environment through many thousands of years?
Search for the answers to these questions – and more – with our captivating Geography Labs tour.
Times: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm
Archaeology Demonstration
Step into the past with archaeology – and an opportunity to discover some (very) old techniques!
What is a prehistoric flint scraper and how do you make one? In the morning sessions you’ll be led through the process of making scrapers – and then get the chance to try them out. The afternoon sessions will focus on making prehistoric cordage, followed by replicating your own Mesolithic Star Carr type pendant.
This activity is not suitable for children.
