Join Professor Dawn Edge as she delivers her insightful and powerful inaugural lecture at Universally Manchester Festival.

Professor of Mental Health and Inclusivity in The University of Manchester’s School of Health Sciences, as well as Academic Lead for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Dawn also holds the distinction of being the University’s first Black woman professor.

In First and Only: Intersectionality, ‘Race’ and Gender in Academia, she reflects on how ‘race’, gender and quest for social justice in health and care have shaped her journey so far.

Dawn will be joined for what promises to be a truly absorbing talk by Professor Uduak Archibong PhD MBE from the University of Bradford, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

Refreshments will be served after the lecture in the Jean McFarlane ground floor hub.
