The Manchester Mexican Folk Group

MusicPerformance

Audience Suitable for all

Hear the amazing music and witness the incredible colour of a group tied to the rich history and culture of Mexico but formed right here in Manchester.

The Manchester Mexican Folk Group was put together in 2005 by Dr Ismael Segura at The University of Manchester and the majority of its dancers are now alumni of our University.

Expect mesmerising dances from the states of Chihuahua, Veracruz and Jalisco across two special shows for Universally Manchester Festival – the latest exciting stop for the group, which has previously performed at the British Museum for an entrancing Day of the Dead celebration and memorably appeared on The Paul O’Grady Show.

Enjoy the performance and… Que Viva Mexico!
