Patient Voice: What Matters to You Matters to Us with George Webster

FamilyInteractiveTalk

Audience Family friendlySuitable for all

Everyone’s voice must be heard. Everyone’s voice must be valued.

Join BAFTA-winning CBeebies presenter George Webster as he discusses the importance of the patient voice in healthcare with Professor Dame Robina Shah, Dr Calisha Allen and medical student Aryana Jizan. This interactive, family-friendly event will also include an audience Q&A, followed by a book reading and signing.

The Doubleday Centre for Patient Experience, a Centre that works to involve the public in the medical training of our future doctors here at The University of Manchester, is founded upon the principle that everyone’s voice matters – especially when it comes to awareness, management and response to what’s important to patients and their families.

In this engrossing discussion, our panel will illustrate just why patient and public involvement in the training of our doctors and healthcare professionals is so crucial – and how it can lead to positive patient experiences and improved outcomes for all.

What’s more, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved yourself – in sharing thoughts on decisions about care for children, young people, vulnerable adults and people with neurodivergent needs.
